World Social Work Day is when social workers are celebrated and recognised as champions for social justice, self-determination and human rights. This year's theme for 2025 "Strengthening Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing." Emphasising the importance of caring and respecting across generations to build strong societies, sustain the environment & share wisdom for a better future!
This day is usually celebrated in March every year on the third week on a Tuesday with next year's date being the 17th March, 2026.
One of the year’s past themes was Promoting the Importance of Human Relationships, which is what we are all about.
Social workers work tirelessly on issues related to social and emotional wellbeing. What better way to celebrate than with a cake during a ‘Safe Place For Women Level 3’ group, facilitated by Social Worker, Dr Rebecca Braid.
One of our group participants happened to be a social work student too!
